Former BBC TV correspondent Alistair Macdonald and lawyer Ann Alexander have launched a new communications consultancy based in the Peak District.
The new operation, Alexander Macdonald, will offer crisis news management, media training and presentation skills.
Macdonald Alistair Macdonald has been running AMTV and Associates for the past 15 years while Alexander was the founder of Alexander Harris, a law firm which specialised in clinical negligence. The firm merged with national practice Irwin Mitchell in 2006.
Cases that Alexander has worked on include representing the families of Harold Shipman’s victims.
Macdonald trained as a newspaper and then radio journalist before specialising in environmental issues and joining the BBC. He subsequently “produced, presented or originated” almost one hundred programmes for Granada TV and Channel 4.
Alexander said: “This is an exhilarating partnership that will introduce our unique skills in this field to firms across the UK and beyond. In 2008 we shall be formally launching our business in London and Hong Kong.”
