The launch of Liverpool’s year as Capital of Culture will be marked on 1 January 2008 by a continuous 24 hour of broadcasting on channel 167 on the Sky platform.
The channel, Information TV, will be hosting what the promoters believe will be the first time in the world that anyone has booked all 24 hours on any channel to promote one product.
The 24 hour period will feature a rotating promotional ad for the year of culture.
The launch promotional initiative is part of a broader package that Liverpool ’08 and Information TV have agreed which includes three fixed and three floating hours of coverage every day over the year. This campaign is due to commence after the official opening on 11 January.
