Creative agency Love’s work for the cover of James’ new album Hey Ma has been banned by a number of media companies.
The cover features a baby and a handgun.
Love would not comment on whether the baby in question lived in Manchester….or which gang it was affiliated to.
However poster giant JCDecaux is not amused and has imposed a ban on all promotional material related to the cover – posters and flyers primarily.
The band, however, doesn’t seem that bothered – ‘all publicity good publicity etc’ – and the album’s release date of 7 April – complete with offending cover – is still on course.
