The Lowry Outlet Mall in Salford Quay’s has appointed Andrea Murphy as its new retail marketing manager, as it looks to combat competition from Manchester city centre and other key shopping areas.
Murphy joins Lowry from Homeform, where she oversaw a portfolio of brands including Dolphin Bathrooms. She boasts some 14 years of marketing experience and will be utilising that to maximise the opportunities currently afforded to the mall through Salford’s ongoing regeneration, and the BBC’s upcoming move north. Murphy said of her plans for the business: “Salford Quays is going through a dramatic and exciting transition. “The further regeneration of the area, coupled with the relocation of a significant proportion of BBC services and employees to the proposed MediaCity site, means the Quays will be a focal point for years to come and it's vital that the Lowry Outlet Mall plays an integral role in this development." The Lowry Outlet Mall markets itself as Manchester’s only factory outlet mall and boasts over 80 stores, a 400-seat food court and a multi-screen cinema complex. It is now in its seventh year of trading.
