Manchester Central, the venue/s formerly known as GMex and the MICC, has taken on three new sales staff. Their arrival follows the appointment of Paula Lorimer as sales director earlier this year.
The three new additions are Chris Martin, Lucy Pittey and Sasha Hughes; the first two as sales executives and Hughes as sales support.
Lorimer, Martin and Pittey Martin has moved from Sports Café Group where he oversaw that company’s corporate sales department. Pittey, who holds a degree in event & leisure management, has spent the past four years at The Barbican Centre in London. She said: This is an opportunity to bring my event management experience into a sales role. I’m looking forward to building on the already fantastic portfolio of events hosted at Manchester Central.” Hughes joins from Manchester city council having moved to the city from Wales last year to “pursue a career in events.”
Sales director Paula Lorimer was previously a director of IIR Exhibitions and International Confex before joining Manchester central in March.
