Mills Media raises awareness of mouth and oral cancer

Creative production house Mills Media has produced a film to highlight the symptoms, and treatment of, mouth and oral cancer for the Merseyside and Cheshire Cancer Network (MCCN).

This is the third DVD package the firm has created for the network and Aintree University Hospital. It features patients discussing how an early appreciation of the symptoms of the disease can lead to successful treatment.

In addition, the five minute film - which you can see here - shows snippets of a live operation carried out by Aintree’s head and neck cancer consultant Professor Simon Rogers.

Barrie Farrell, head of production at Mills, said of the project: “With a brief like this it is vital that the message hits home with the target audience.

“The film captures the key message about early detection of mouth and oral cancer and the critical lifesaving work undertaken by MCCN and Aintree University Hospital.”

The DVD package of the film is now being distributed to GPs and dentists across the Sefton region to encourage early detection of the disease.
