Fuse Sport has brokered the deal between Scottish Premier side Motherwell FC and the team’s new shirt sponsor JAXX.
The Manchester-based sports marketing agency, majority owned by Mediavest, has negotiated a deal that will see the club get £200,000 per season, with additional revenue share options. As such the JAXX name will now appear on Motherwell's claret and amber strip from the beginning of the 2008-09 season. In addition to appearing on the strips, sports betting firm JAXX will also gain advertising within the Fir Park ground, while a co-branded club website will be live in time for next season’s kick off. Fuse director Mark Dixon said of the deal: “We’re delighted to have brought together two dynamic brands like Motherwell and JAXX. “The shirt sponsorship deal is one of the most important partnerships for any club, and we think this link-up represents a really strong association that will undoubtedly serve to enhance both brands.” JAXX has also signed affiliation agreements south of the border with West Ham and Newcastle United. The firm received its betting licence in February 2007 and is owned by German parent company FLUXX AG. www.fuse-sport.com
