The Manchester based Equality and Human Rights Commission has unveiled its new logo.
 A new look for EHRC Based on an equals sign, to communicate its drive for equality for all, the new id was designed by London’s 35 Communications and can be seen at the EHRC website.It will permeate across all on and offline communications produced by the newly unified body, which was created last month by the merger of the Disability Rights Commission, the Commission for Racial Equality and the Equal Opportunities Commission. In other news at the campaigning organization, Kamal Ahmed has been recruited as the group director of communications. Ahmed joins from the Observer, where he worked as political editor for seven years before moving over to be head of news. Prior to that he spent four years at sister publication The Guardian. Speaking about his appointment, he commented: “There are great challenges and opportunities ahead for the new commission and it will be a privilege to join the organisation as it sets off on its important journey, creating an environment where everyone has the right to live their life to the full. “Although it is with great sadness that I leave The Observer, the commission offers the chance to work with a team committed to working with everyone to create a country confident in its diversity."
