Nick Porter voted one of the 50 most powerful people in UK events industry | Print |  Email to a friend

Fresh Group founder Nick Porter has been voted into the C&IT (Conference & Incentive Travel) Power 50 2009 at number 30.

Fresh Group founder Nick Porter has been voted into the C&IT (Conference & Incentive Travel) Power 50 2009 at number 30.
Porter: flying high
The Power 50 operates as an 'influence index' for the sector, ranking the most powerful operators in a voting system that this year registered over 4,000 individual votes.

A quick peruse of the list, which you can see in full here, seems to confirm Fresh's claim that Porter is the only representative from the region to make the final cut.

He said of the achievement: "I’m absolutely thrilled to have made number 30 in the Power 50, and to be flying the flag for the North West. It’s a true testament to the drive and determination that underpins the entire company.”

He added: “Breaking into the Power 50 shows that we are well on our way to achieving our goal of becoming the most successful full service communications group in the North of England.”

The agency is now on a drive to recruit up to 10 new staff members, following on from wins with clients such as McDonalds, Santander and AVON.
