Here at How-Do we’re really very proud to inform you that The Northwest Football Awards, which is a joint venture between your faithful website and Out There Events, has just been crowned ‘best new event’ at this year’s Eventia UK Awards in London.

The golden gong was awarded in recognition of the stellar first year that the awards scheme enjoyed, and followed hot on the heels of its latest successful outing in 2008.

Judges at Eventia rewarded the initiative for its creativity, client endorsement and ‘wow factor’, while also praising it for raising some £24,000 for charitable causes.

Marcie Incarico, the founder of Out There, commented on the achievement: “We are delighted that the Northwest Football Awards has been named Eventia UK's Best New Event, especially against such tough London agency competition.

“It is a testament to the hard work and dedication of the team involved and all concerned appreciate this fantastic recognition."

How-Do would like to add that “we’re dead chuffed.”

The 2008 Northwest Football Awards took place just last week and was produced in association with main sponsor Bank of America.

It attracted sporting stars of the past and present, with Sir Tom Finney, Sir Bobby Charlton, Ian Rush and David Moyes all turning up to show their support.
