NWDA finally decides on its £2m event management task | Print |  Email to a friend

After what seems like an eternity (to the How-Do hack that’s been chasing the story anyway, Ed) the North West Development Agency has released the names of the suppliers that will make up its event management panel for the next four years.
After what seems like an eternity (to the How-Do hack that’s been chasing the story anyway, Ed) the North West Development Agency has released the names of the suppliers that will make up its event management panel for the next four years.

The NWDA kicked off the tender process at the start of the year, with the view to have the lucky firms in place by the end of April.

This, however, along with the still unreleased/undecided digital panel, was seemingly delayed until now.

The event management task is a major one for an organisation that sees this marketing medium as “a popular and effective method of communicating directly with a large number of stakeholders” and boasts a projected spend of £2m ex VAT.

It is expected to take in a diverse range of seminars, conferences and events –all of varying sizes and budgets – and as such the regional development body has looked to a panel of five firms rather than one exclusive supplier.

So, without further ado, the firms in question are: Clear Presentations, a division of Didsbury’s Clear Marketing; public sector specialist Glasgows from Preston; London’s The Live Group; the recently formed WRG of Sale; and Manchester’s Rapport Events.

Each of the firms will be commissioned on an ad hoc basis for individual jobs.

In all some 37 firms took part in the tendering process to stake their place on the panel.
