NWDA funded Culture08 campaign kicks off |

The NWDA has part-funded a new £250,000 campaign launched by VisitBritain to encourage Brits to incorporate cultural experiences into their domestic holidays this year.
 The Culture08 site A NWDA spokesperson confirmed to How-Do that the development body was part-funding the Culture08 initiative, which launched on Monday, on behalf of the region’s collective tourist boards. Northants based agency Milton Bayer handled the creative for the activity.The campaign has been rolled out in partnership with England’s Northwest and focuses on taking advantage of Liverpool’s European Capital of Culture status and a host of other major events taking place throughout the region this year The NWDA’s Peter Mearns said of the need for the campaign: “This year is hugely important for England’s Northwest. With Liverpool’s reign as European Capital of Culture now underway, it is critical that we seize this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to showcase the fantastic cultural offering that we have across the Northwest. “The NWDA is working with our partners in the region on a unique programme of events to ensure that the legacy of 2008 is felt across the whole of the region. With the range and scale of events on offer during Capital of Culture year, there will never be a better time to visit the region.” Culture08 will be promoted through the national press, online marketing, advertising in niche publications, direct mail and public relations. http://www.enjoyengland.com/culture
