A panel discussion to be held at Salford University next Thursday (18th October) will look into the vital question of exactly how Salford and Manchester can maximise the opportunities set to arise from the mediacity:uk development.
The event will be headlined by Chris Farrow, the chief executive of Central Salford Urban Regeneration, who will speak about regeneration and skills prior to the main discussion. This will involve a panel of mediacity:uk partners, addressing issues such as how to involve local communities in the development, and ways to ensure that benefits to businesses are regional as well as local. Speaking about the event, marketed as The Common Purpose Graduate Connect evening, Salford University’s Michelle Bryant said: The mediacity:uk development will provide exciting opportunities for this University and the region as a whole. This event will explore how to maximise the benefits to education, business, communities and the economy as a whole.” http://www.salford.ac.uk
