ReBlackpool, in the latest phase of its Media Ambassador campaign, has launched a media darkroom for journalists available on request.
The site, developed by Todmorden digital agency ‘We Love The Web’, has now gone live.
ReBlackpool's marketing exec Kate Staley told How-Do that: "Journalists accessing the content on Media Ambassador will be able to secure, among other things, press releases twelve hours before they’re issued, ‘exclusive and original images’, archived news and generally a news resource which we hope will be regarded as a ‘trusted’ source." The Media Ambassador initiative has recruited Trinity staffer Ken Bennett as its head ambassador and has retained Weber Shandwick in Manchester to handle the PR.
ReBlackpool is funded by Blackpool council and VisitBlackpool. For those interested in signing up, visit www.reblackpool.co.uk where you can access the service by clicking the Media Ambassador tab on the left hand side of the page.
