Cheshire-based research company B2B International is opening an office in New York on Monday 2 June.
B2B already has an office in Beijing in addition to its UK base in Bramhall. The Beijing office opened 18 months ago.
The company was founded by veteran market researcher Paul Hague who previously sold his B&MR company to a US concern for a seven figure sum. B2B currently employs almost 70 staff across its three offices: seven people in Beijing, three will be in New York and the balance in Bramhall. The Bramhall figure includes a telephone unit with 40 operators. Hague told How-Do that turnover this year will be almost £2.5m of which circa 10% will be derived from US clients. Thus he said the "US operation is a natural progression for us. "We're not going to compete directly with US research agencies who can be very good. Rather our plan is to offer US clients a more international perspective and insight - US companies aren't always as global in their thinking as they sometimes like to believe." Matthew Harrison, B2B’s business development and finance director, will oversee the management of the new office.
