SKV and Swinton reveal Peter Kay and Kelly Brook as favourite car passengers | Print |  Email to a friend
Tuesday, 06 May 2008
SKV PR has proved that age old adage that women look for something that’s more than skin deep in their men, while the men… well, they seem to concentrate on more obvious charms…

This appears to the result of a Bank Holiday survey released by SKV PR on behalf of client Swinton.

According to said survey, which quizzed 2,000 motorists, women would most like to be stuck in a traffic jam with Peter Kay as their passenger, while the fellas opted for the equally curvaceous (although possibly not quite so humorous) delights of actress and all round glamour girl Kelly Brook.

Kay: popular with the ladies
The results apparently led a Swinton spokesperson to comment: “Being stuck in traffic is incredibly boring and with 18 million drivers taking to the road this Bank Holiday many motorists are facing long journeys.

“It’s funny to see that women seem to think that personality is the key to a good driving companion, whereas men are choosing looks.”

What perhaps is less funny, dependent on your marital state, is that the poll also revealed that 24 per cent of Britons said that their husband or wife is the most annoying passenger they could end up driving with.

The top five passengers for both sexes are as follows:

Men

1. Kelly Brook
2. Holly Willoughby
3. Peter Kay
4. Sir Richard Branson
5. Elle Macphearson

Women

1. Peter Kay
2. Fern Britton
3. Jonathan Ross
4. Jack Dee
5. Alan Carr
