The Carlsberg lager brand Tuborg has appointed marketing agency Momentum to manage its summer festivals promotional campaign.

The Carlsberg lager brand Tuborg has appointed marketing agency Momentum to manage its summer festivals promotional campaign.

The Manchester agency won the business following a three way pitch against undisclosed agencies.

Tuborg dipped its toe into music sponsorship last year with its support of the festival organiser and is understood to be keen to develop the relationship with consumers at this year’s Live Nation festivals which will include Download, O2 Wireless and Global Gathering.

A spokesperson at Carlsberg told How-Do that “The plan is to integrate promotions, events and experiential marketing and as a result provide a strong, ownable Tuborg solution.”

Momentum’s proposal for Tuborg includes digital TV, mobile, brand promotion at the sites, a dedicated website - www.tuborgmusic.com - and social networking.

Momentum is part of the Interpublic Group.  The agency employs 120 staff at two offices in the North West: one in Manchester and one in Cheshire.
