Changes afoot at North West Tonight | Print |  Email to a friend
Tuesday, 03 April 2007
After ten years as sole presenter of the BBC’s regional evening news programme ‘North West Tonight’, it seems Gordon Burns may soon be sharing the show.

Word reaches How-Do that BBC bosses have decided that fellow reporter, Lancastrian lass Ranvir Singh, will co-present the show from the summer. Singh is currently the principal stand-in when Burns is away.

There has been talk of co-presenters in the past but Belfast-born Burns has felt quite comfortable presenting on his own hitherto.

Someone somewhere is spitting feathers at the news.

Suggestions re who might take the roles of Will Ferrell and Christina Applegate welcome….

A double act,??!!! In these rather tragic TV settings It seems to be a better option to me.Most Lancashire TV news watchers will be unfamiliar with Harry Grayson and Judith Stamper but they had class.....There will be a double act for Manchester telly news and rest assured it will be drivel.....Gordon Burns.....yawn.
