Everton FC has rejected the story published in a broadcast trade title that it is the latest Premiership club to signal its intent to launch a dedicated club TV channel.
A spokesperson at the club told How-Do that the story is "Simply wrong. We are always looking at ways of improving our media services but the suggestion we are launching an Everton TV channel is incorrect."
Liverpool FC is launching its new channel in September and has employed over 20 production staff as it plans to broadcast 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
Man Utd and Chelsea have had their own TV channels since 1998 and 2001 respectively and Arsenal is also understood to be launching a TV channel this autumn.
Everton currently produces Everton TV which is available online only.
